ICAP is a not-for-profit organization, supported by major producers of beverage alcohol. It is a resource for all those interested in alcohol policy worldwide. ICAP promotes dialogue involving the drinks industry, the research and public health communities, government, and civil society, encouraging them to work together.
Most ICAP publications are available online, and many have been translated in part or in full into several languages.
The Toolkits listed below are hands-on resources for implementation of interventions to reduce harmful drinking and include instruments for assessment and evaluation. Some have been developed by ICAP, while others are the work of other organizations with ICAP’s involvement. The Toolkits offer guidance on how targeted approaches can be implemented at the national and local levels, and are relevant for a wide range of stakeholders and situations. Some Toolkits are available in several languages; adaptation to different local, national, and cultural contexts is encouraged.
